N8n latest update (self hosted) says my credentials cannot be decrypted

I updated n8n last night to the latest version (1.75.2) I was one version behind. It let me continue working after the update. Today, when I started n8n, I am getting an error that my credentials cannot be decrypted, to check the encryption key (I checked the .env on my server and it is the same as always).

version: 1.75.2
DB: default
own
docker
Ubunto 24.0.4

I hope I don’t need to create all of my credentials again. Has anyone seen this or know how to fix it so that I can continue working?

thanks

It looks like your topic is missing some important information. Could you provide the following if applicable.

  • n8n version:
  • Database (default: SQLite):
  • n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main):
  • Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app):
  • Operating system:

Nope, having the same issue, on 1.74.3 everything works fine, upgrading gives the same error. Admin account credentials can´t be decrypted, other user works as expected. O_0
