I’m exploring n8n for building automation services that I may offer to clients. For entrepreneurs or agencies already selling n8n‑based solutions: how do you address client concerns about data security and compliance? Do you rely on n8n’s SOC 2 certification, or do you add your own guarantees (e.g., secure hosting, audits, contracts)? What strategies have worked best to convince customers that their data is safe when using n8n automations?

Are you asking about n8n’s cloud hosting or are you interested in self-hosted?
Hi @Tech_Tigris_Nilusi,
I think it’s always a good idea to put options in front of the client and letting them choose what they are comfortable with.
The benefit of n8n is that it comes both in a cloud option as well as self-hosted/on-prem option. Simply put, if your clients need more control over the security and where data is stored, then you should definitely offer the self hosting option. This can either be controlled by you as a supplier or let the client procure the infrastructure you simply deploy your solutions to.

Thanks for your feedback!
I am mainly focused of self-hosted n8n.
Thanks for you feedback!
My point would be that what if i am looking for small not teach heavy companies as a client , maybe small factories with 10-50 employee ? They clearly don’t have huge IT experience , neither special team or even person for IT security.
