We are thrilled to announce the release of n8n version 1, the next generation of our workflow automation tool.
n8n has already gained significant popularity worldwide, serving as a trusted solution for a broad range of use cases. Version 1 marks n8nās debut as a production-ready service, addressing the needs of enterprise users and further strengthening its stability and performance.
Here are some of the highlights of the n8n version 1 release:
Stable and Production Ready: With version 1, we are proud to label n8n as stable and production-ready. We have invested significant efforts into improving the reliability and performance of the platform, so that it can be relied on to power your mission-critical workflows.
Python Support: In response to popular demand, n8n now supports Python as a scripting language in the Code node. This opens up a world of possibilities for users who prefer Python for their automation tasks.
Semantic Versioning: We have introduced semantic versioning to simplify the updating process for n8n. This new versioning scheme ensures a consistent and predictable update experience, making it easier for you to stay up-to-date with the latest enhancements and bug fixes.
Improved Workflow Building and Execution Experience: We have taken user feedback into account and revamped the workflow execution mechanism in n8n. For example n8n will now finish executing an entire workflow branch before executing the next one, and choose the branch to execute first based on its position on the canvas (highest first)
Version 1 marks a milestone in our journey to making n8n available in demanding environments. Over the last few months we have released features such as Single Sign-On (SSO), enabling seamless integration with your existing authentication systems. Additionally, you can now synchronise workflows across multiple environments, leverage global variables, log streaming, and advanced execution filters to enhance your workflows and streamline your automation processes.
Please note that Version 1 introduces some breaking changes. To ensure a smooth transition, we have prepared a comprehensive migration guide that outlines the necessary steps to update your existing workflows.
