Nodes as Tools feedback

Hi n8n community,

I’m Jason, and the Head of Design here at n8n. We recently released Nodes as Tools to help you with your AI-powered workflows, and I’m keen on hearing your feedback!

I’m sure there are things we can do to make them even more useful for you, and would love to hear it directly, even if you’ve used them and decided they weren’t for you.

Would anyone be up for a quick chat? If so please use this form to sign up.

Thanks!

This is a great functionality.

I’m using a lot of the Database tools… Like Supabase.

I’ve found the node isn’t working very well with many data.

It depends on the AI training, but on my perception, the node influences the result and when I have a lot of data, the result is not good!

Appreciated, ria!

This implementation is amazing. also consider implementing an AI Agent as a tool

very good option but when we try to map data, its little different. can you share a tutorial link that shows how to map data from other nodes to inside the subnode using Ai ? please

I did not fill the fields…

The Node works with the AI to solve that🙂

Well first thanks for the answer but the supabase you sent picture shows get many options, so, still we cant see how to map. in the yellow disclaimer says we can use {{ $fromAI() }} . here in my project using baserow I need to fill 10 different data like, adres, telephone numbers, zip code, etc and when I use the expression {{ $fromAI() }} in each form item to AI automatcly map, I have a error… can you please share how to may when we need to fill data not when we need get data please?

consider implementing an AI Agent as a tool

@Mario.Angelino you can do this by putting the agent inside a sub-workflow (ie. a workflow using an ‘execute workflow’ trigger) and calling it with the workflow tool

@radamesbispo are you putting a placeholder in your fromAI calls? E.g.
{{ $fromAI('placeholder_name') }}

You’d need a different placeholder name for each field. The placeholder tells the model what kind of data to send

thanks so much… you are right, this solves my problem…
