Not receiving free license key email after clicking “Send me a free license key” (self-hosted Docker on Windows)

Hello n8n community,

I’m self-hosting n8n using Docker on Windows and tried to request a free license key from the Settings > Usage & Plan > Unlock section. After clicking “Send me a free license key”, I got a pop-up message saying:

“Your license key is on the way! Check your email, <my_email>@gmail.com, to find your license key. Then head over to usage and plan to activate your license.”

However, it’s been over 10 hours and I still haven’t received anything in my inbox (including spam/junk folder).

My setup details:

  • n8n version: 1.122.4

  • Docker version: 4.53.0

  • Host OS: Windows 64-bit, x64-based processor

  • Host port: 5678 (same as container port)

  • Volume mount:

    • Host: C:\n8n-data;C

    • Container: \Program Files\Git\home\node\.n8nI’m using the Community Edition and wanted to unlock the paid features for free as advertised.

Has anyone else experienced this delay? Could this be an issue with the email delivery system, or is there something I need to configure in my self-hosted instance to receive license emails?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem.

Have you tried using another email? One that has never been used on n8n

I’ve tried everything, reinstalled, and cleared the license; I’m thinking it’s a problem with this version. I suspected my SMTP server, but it wasn’t that. I think the latest version might have a bug.

Can I see what your Usage and plan looks like?

It is a known issue, and it has been posted by one of n8n members:

I’ve tried multiple times, even tried another email not using @gmail, but using proton, it’s still the same

This is my Usage and Plan interface

Thank you for your information, much appreciated bro @Parintele_Damaskin
