Odd attachment behavior from Outlook reply:message node?

Hi team,

Just thought I’d drop this in here as I’ve noticed some odd behavior from the Microsoft Outlook reply:message node. When replying to an email with an image attachment, it includes the same attachment in the response.

This only seems to happen when Reply to Sender Only is ON.

Steps to replicate:

  1. User sends an email with an image attachment to the Outlook account (the Service)
  2. Service sends a text reply to user using the reply:message node
  3. The user receives the response text along with the original image they attached
  4. User responds again in text
  5. Service responds with reply:message node
  6. The user receives the response text as expected, without attachments

Haven’t checked with other types of attachments.

Wasn’t sure if this was N8N or Microsoft, or even me. :stuck_out_tongue:

Matt

Hi there @kimowasabiii,

Thanks for posting this! :sunflower: And appologies for the long wait

So, I went ahead and recreated this but didn’t get an issue. No image returned.

The sent email I used was from a gmail account. Not sure if that would affect it.

Could you maybe share your workflow? It would be helpful to see what trigger node you’re using and how you’re setting your params
