Organize Workspace with Folders

Hi,
I’m trying the new feature “Organize Workspace with Folders”.

Describe the problem/error/question

I cannot create Folders. I’ve restarted n8n with the new version. There are no hints in the documentation. May be I’m not finding all.

What is the error message (if any)?

The button is greyed out.

Information on your n8n setup

  • **n8n version: 1.85.4 Community Version
  • **Database (default: SQLite): PostgresSQL
  • **n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main): own.main
  • **Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app): Docker
  • **Operating system: Debian 17, proxmox

Did you register your community version?

I think so

can you share a screenshot of your whole screen and where it is greyed out.

Same here. I have a registered community edition. The folder icon is still greyed out

Also, I am using the registered Community Edition. You can see the folder in Personal Space, not Overview.

Sometimes you need to close the session (or even restart n8n) and restart again (i’m sure you all tried that but just mentioning it in case not. some of the functionality / state is only read on startup and is not dynamic on the go).

I’ve restarted twice.
I tested with edge and clear fireforx-browser

A red circle-icon appears when I click on the buttom

Any environment variables to set?
I’ve registered SQlite but now use PostgreSQL; may be something doesn’t fit?

You are on overview, it is not available there.
Go to your personal space or a project to add folders
