Organize your workspace with Folders

Global search is something we’re thinking about right now @VaveCafe. In your case, the overview should work for you though, as it shows all workflows across all folders and projects. You could for example add a tag with “Zoom” to it.

We’re also thinking about more filtering/searching options though, e.g. which nodes are using in a workflow

Folders is a great feature improvement, but I am puzzled why it was not build on using the existing labels (in a similar way to how Gmail does folders). The advantage of the latter is a workflow could be in more than one folder or shared.

Was there a specific design reason to use subdirectories?

THE MOST EPIC UPDATE FEATURE!!

I remember asking for this about a year or so back. For someone like myself running over 150 workflows this is simply epic to say the least!

Thank you N8N team!

Capability to move multiple workflows into a folder at once would be  AMAZING

Shift hold to select range & cmd to select multiple would melt brains

Love your work guys

Last one, when you select ‘Move to folder…’ it should have your last 3 folders already dropped down.

Awsome improvements on Folders.

  • Sticky sorting
  • Folder breadcrumb inside the workflow editor (only to Personal?)
  • No ellipses if it’s a root folder

I’m sure I’m missing something, but fantastic! Good Job to the dev team. Have your boss get you a beer!

Small improvement Id appreciate  duplicating a workflow will not keep it inside the original folder but create the duplicate outside the folder.

Can we add folders to overview on self hosted. somehow this is blocked for us. How can this be implemented?

Seems like I can create folders only in the “Personal” space, not under specific projects. This button is disable when I’m inside a project. Any specific reason for it?

Am I missing something?

Great! Thank you!

Can i move a shared wokflow in a folder?

If you say you want to move workflows that have been shared with you, then unfortunately not. Otherwise of course.

You can create folders in all projects. Only overview does not have folders.

Thanks, I figured it out few days ago. The problem in my case was that I was not added as an Editor to the project where I wanted to create the folders. Hence this option was greyed out.

I still could see the project because I was the instance admin I guess.
