Outlook node Error: Unknown Error


I have a Workflow where I use the Outlook node and sometimes the following error appears:

This is a situation that only occurs sometimes, but since the workflow is run by a cron node, it causes the email to not be sent.

This error has also happened when manually running the Outlook node, or the workflow itself. If after the error, I run the node again, it no longer gives an error and the email is sent correctly.

What could be causing this?

  • Database you’re using: SQLite
  • Running n8n with the execution process: Own
  • Running n8n via: Docker/Podman

Some information about that issue you can find here. In the end does the DNS lookup fail.

The easiest way to “fix” it for you now would probably be activating “Retry on Fail” on the node (can be access via the “cog” icon on the left).
