Paris October 2024 Community Drinks - Report 📸

We hosted our first n8n drink in Paris yesterday together with @Nayel99! :tada:
19 people attended (38 on RSVP - lots of no-show and people not on RSVP who showed up).

Great variety of profiles: students, freelancer, SMEs and big corp / no-coders, developers and data scientists / 4 girls

It was just an informal drink but people were very happy and already asked when is the next one.

Main discussed topics that can open to future meetups presentations or webinars :

  • Are there many external contributors to n8n ? Do we have some of them in the community ? Do n8n have open seats for developers ?
  • How does n8n scale (both data volume and amount of requests) ? Do we have uses cases / user testimonies on that ?
  • Who are n8n customers ? big corporations, nerds, SMEs? how to sell n8n to clients when your are a freelancer ?
  • Is n8n mostly used for internal processes or production processes ? For production, how is the risk of failure of having an additional brick (versus plain code) managed ?

Regarding organisation :

  • The bar was nice and very central, multiple attendees told me it was 3 min walk from their office which encourage them to come after work
  • It was noisy and a bit narrow (there was another group in the bar and they were 3 times more than expected)
  • The meetup was at 7.30 but people start showing up before 7.00

From my side I am really happy that everything went well (was my first meetup and I was a bit stressed) and that people came and enjoy and I was really pleased to meet people I talked with face to face and to meet Anne-Charlotte from n8n !
