Posting to WordPress works in the Cloud, but not in the Self-Hosted Setup

When running a simple “Create Post” Wordpress node, the output will be a multi-column, one letter per column, result that does not make its way to Wordpress.

Error Message:

There is no error message. Only the terrible output.

Troubleshooting:

I have tried this on a completely blank workflow with only the WordPress node. Same result. I then created a cloud account, and used the exact same credentials to log into my WP site. Worked perfectly.

I also updated my self-hosted n8n version. Same result. This means the problem is isolated to my self-hosted n8n instance.

Is anyone else experiencing the same?

Hey @Oxford_Pierpont

The self hosted and cloud version of n8n is exactly the same, at the moment I can’t think of any local configuration option that would stop it from working but…

When you say all you get is the “terrible output” what exactly is that?

I’m posting to WP with no issues using self hosted but I don’t write the WP posts in the create post node….what are you trying to post…and where is the data coming from…my posts come from airtable or from AI written content also generated in other n8n flows…
