Problem with sending WhatsApp messages in N8N self-hosted

Hello community,
I’m having trouble sending WhatsApp messages on n8n self-hosted.
The WhatsApp Trigger works fine, but when I try to send a message via the Send Message node, nothing is sent.
The same workflow works perfectly on paid n8n Cloud, but not on my self-hosted server.

No explicit error message in n8n.
In the output of the “Send Message” node, I get: “No execution data available.”

Information on your n8n setup

  • n8n version: 1.83.1
  • Database: Supabase
  • n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting: own (par défaut)
  • Running n8n via: Docker on VPS server
  • Operating system: Ubuntu 22.04

I have the exact same problem. i think it’s not the meta API’s problem because if you fill the message content directly in the whatsapp node it will work. i’ve just posted this 4 hours ago that isn’t answered yet. will save this if somehow yours got answered

I think it’s a problem with the URL permissions on the meta side but I don’t know where we can change that.

How were you able to get the WhatsApp Trigger to work on your self hosted instance?

I have same issue node executed successfully but I don’t received any message … please give solution as soon as possible

I’m having the same issue too. It works if I’m using a ‘send template’ but does not work with ‘send message’.

Not sure if it’s a setting on the Meta API side?
