Publishing custom node for the community

Quick question regarding publishing my custom n8n node.

I rely on the docs: Submit community nodes | n8n Docs

  1. When I submit the package to the npm registry, is it already available for n8n workflows to use?

  2. Or does it also need to verified & approved by n8n team?

If the #2 option, how long approximately does it take to be reviewed?
