Describe the problem/error/question
I’m trying to pass data from one workflow to another using the Call Workflow node in n8n, targeting a workflow that starts with the When Executed by Another Workflow node.
The issue is that when I open the When Executed by Another Workflow node in the editor (design view), the input data does not appear under the Output tab.
However, when I switch to the Executions view, I can see that the node did receive the data correctly.
This makes it difficult to configure and map fields in the subsequent nodes, as n8n doesn’t recognize the passed data in the editor.
What is the error message (if any)?
There is no error message — the input data simply doesn’t show up in the editor.

Share the output returned by the last node
The data is received correctly during workflow execution, but it is not visible in the editor view, which prevents me from using variable mapping in downstream nodes within the called workflow.
