Same node but different options between two identical installations

Hi,

I got n8n on two machines.
On the server A, the merge node has modes “Append, Combine, SQL Query, Choose Branch”

merge_on_server_A

On server B the same type of node with “Append, Combine, Choose Branch” modes.
The “numbers of inputs” field is no longer displayed either on server B.

merge_on_server_B

The version of n8n is 1.50.1 on both machines and both have been installed via docker with the same docker-compose.yml
Is it a bug or a config problem?

Information on your n8n setup

  • n8n version: 1.50.1
  • Database (default: SQLite): Postgres
  • n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main):
  • Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app): DOcker
  • Operating system: Linux Debian 12

Hi @sd35

One is the new version of the node, the other is the old one.

They should both work.

Did you place both nodes new in the workflow? Or is the old one an existing one?

When checking the actual version of n8n are they indeed both the same? Sometimes Docker doesn’t update properly so that could be the issue here.

It’s a new workflow.
And it’s the same version on both.

Might be something wrong in the cache then, have seem some weirdness recently.
Have you tried using an incognito browser on both? Or most importantly the one where you see the old node.
Also make sure to place a new node in the workflow from the node list. If you copy paste or whatever it doesn’t change the node version. (nodes that were already there also do not change)

I tested with another browser, same problem.
I just tested with a new workflow, same problem.
On server B I use docker in rootless mode. The problem may be from there ? but I don’t think…

I just tested with version 1.51.1, the problem is the same
