SendToOrdersQueue and SendToPriorityQueue both returned successful responses in my most recent full run
All values in the finalize payload are the correct type (numbers/boolean, not strings)
My guess is that this might be related to an earlier submission during debugging - I originally completed the “Order Queue Assessment Checkpoint” before adding pagination, when orders_queued was 10 instead of 50. It’s possible the server is still comparing against that earlier count instead of my most recent run.
Could someone help me check the backend state for my assessment, or let me know how to reset progress for this section so I can resubmit cleanly?
Hi @muktern8n Welcome!
The error names your counts, not your progress, so this is the payload rather than stale backend state. batch_size is the one value that doesn’t match Step 2.7, which uses 5. Set BatchPriorityOrders to a batch size of 5, re-run the whole workflow in one go, and finalize with batch_size: 5.
See this:
Adding to what Anshul said, since there is a thread with your exact error message (not the “Progress incompleted” one) where Jamie from the n8n team confirmed the batch size and posted a screenshot of the reference run:
Two things from that thread that I’d have open when you re-run.
The screenshot gives you a way to sanity check the run before you even hit finalize. With 12 enterprise orders and a batch size of 5, BatchPriorityOrders should show 4 runs and SendToPriorityQueue should show 3 (5, 5, 2). If the priority queue node still shows 2 then the loop is still on 10 and I wouldn’t trust the finalize call until that number changes. Your total_orders 50 and enterprise_count 12 both line up with what the reference run shows, so batch_size really is the only number that’s off.
The other thing Jamie kept pointing at, both in that thread and in the “Missing required parameter: total_orders” one from last week, is types. If the FinalizePipeline body is on “Using Fields Below” and you typed 50 and true straight into the value fields, they go out as strings, even though they look right in the UI.
For the final checkpoint, it should be 5, not 10. Your other values look right:
{
“total_orders”: 50,
“enterprise_count”: 12,
“batch_size”: 5,
“retry_enabled”: true
}
I’d change BatchPriorityOrders to a batch size of 5, then run the complete workflow again from start to finish and submit the final checkpoint.
So I don’t think this is related to the earlier orders_queued: 10 submission or cached backend state. The 422 you’re getting is specifically pointing to the final counts, and batch_size: 10 is the value that doesn’t match the course requirement.
Thanks Subham, batch_size: 5 was indeed the fix, and SendToPriorityQueue now runs successfully (all batches green, 12 items confirmed).
However, FinalizePipeline is now back to a different error: “Progress incompleted. You have not completed all steps in this assessment.” This is confusing because in this exact same complete run: - SendToOrdersQueue confirmed orders_queued: 50 - SendToPriorityQueue ran green for all batches (12 items total) - FinalizePipeline payload: { “total_orders”: 50, “enterprise_count”: 12, “batch_size”: 5, “retry_enabled”: true } Everything succeeded in this run, yet the finalize step still says progress is incomplete.
This looks similar to what another user reported above with a similar issue. Could someone check the backend checkpoint state for my Assessment ID?
@muktern8n A backend check isn’t needed, the flaw is in your flow. You listed orders quqed as 50, as proof step 1 sucseeded, however, in another thread, this was said the step 1 part wants only 10, so you need to disable pagnation.
Thanks for the reply, but I think this might not be correct — the course document explicitly says in Step 2.1-2.2 that pagination should return 50 orders, and the confirmation code for that checkpoint literally contains “PAGED-ORDERS-QUEUE” in its name, which I received successfully. The rest of the exercise (20 Enterprise / 30 others, 12 non-delivered) only makes sense with 50 orders, not 10.
Could you share the specific thread where “only 10” was mentioned? I want to make sure I’m not missing some other context, but based on my copy of the course material, pagination to 50 appears to be a required step, not optional.
