Security - Authentication and Protection Node Credentials

Hi there,

I’m new to n8n and perhaps I’m asking something that is already possible.

First of all, is it possible have additional authentication when logging into n8n.cloud? Username and password is really not enough, taking into account that all kind of API credentials get stored in Nodes.

Is it possible to protect Node Credentials with an extra (separate) password? Again, an extra layer of protection as well as making sure that your credentials do not get copied accidentally.

No, that is sadly currently not possible. There is however a separate feature request about 2FA which you probably want to upvote.
