Hi all
I’m self hosting n8n via Render. Trying to add one of my team but it says I need to upgrade.
The upgrading is a little confusing, the link takes me to the usual pricing (hosted) so 20p/m with unlimited users but then you are throttled on active flows.
The pricing on the self-hosting jumps to 400 p/m for access to have users.
It doesn’t make much sense, i know most of the n8n users I know have the same sort of questions as they tried to add their team as well.
If you need dedicated user accounts for each team member, the Cloud option is the best choice — it supports individual logins and access control.
However, if your team is fine with sharing a single login, the Self-hosted option can help you save on costs while still getting the core functionality.
If you mean here.
Upgrade is for the admin users.
But if you just want to create a user that they have their own workspace then it’s fine.
For the community edition : the other user will have a new n8n workspace (Basically it’s empty).
They need to set up the workflow and credentials on their own.
You can not share them with a simple solution
But if you are capable of export credential and workflow via n8n command then it will be much more easier.
