Server needed for Installation n8n

My developer installed on a root server. Is it possible to install it on a managed server somwhere? The problem is that my hosters can’t take action when my developer is unable.

It looks like your topic is missing some important information. Could you provide the following if applicable.

  • n8n version:
  • Database (default: SQLite):
  • n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main):
  • Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app):
  • Operating system:

Hey @strayr,

We have a cloud offering that you can use but if you want to self host I would recommend following one of the server setup guides we have: Server setups | n8n Docs

Just don’t forget that self hosting is an advanced option so you would need to know how to manage a server before going down that route.

We do also have some experts who may offer services around n8n support that may include the server as well so that could be something to think about.

Hello Jon, I think it would sensible to have a package directly with n8n for critical automations. That way I can use your support. However I feel 50 USD is a high price for 15 active automations. If the support is top-notch and one can get help setting up automations, it would be worth it.

n8n is an advanced tool. Many companies hire an n8n expert externally, and sometimes internally, and spend thousands a month on n8n development.

The $50 a month would definitely average out to less than if you needed to hire an IT/n8n pro to set you up with and maintain your self hosted n8n instance (that obviously doesn’t come with any development though).

The forum support is very good though, usually getting answers within a few hours

That is also my idea. My main problem is that my automations stopped working and the n8n installation was offline. I would just like to put some key workflows on their server so I have less problems. 15 workflows is a little lame though. Considering that the only run a few times day.

I agree the limitations aren’t fun, but they gotta make money to pay their devs somehow

To add to this, If you cannot add 50 euros of value for your business with 15 workflows then maybe it isn’t that important to automate.

ps. I know of rates that are 60 euros per workflow for hosting and support. So n8n isn’t that expensive
