I packaged a small importable n8n workflow for freelancers/solopreneurs who drown in vendor invoice PDFs.
What it does:
- Watches Gmail for invoice-like emails with PDF attachments
- Soft-skips empty / non-PDF messages
- Extracts text and parses common fields (vendor, invoice #, dates, totals)
- Appends/updates a Google Sheets row (upsert by invoice number)
- Optional Slack notify
You bring your own n8n + Gmail/Sheets/Slack OAuth. Best with text-based PDFs; image-only PDFs need an OCR step in front.
