I am using n8n version 2.1.5 and I created an IoT workflow with an MQTT Trigger that needs to stay continuously listening.
My problem: I cannot find the button or toggle to activate the workflow. I have looked:
At the top right of the interface
In the “…” (three dots) menu
In the workflow list
The workflow works when I run it manually, but I would like it to remain active permanently so that the MQTT Trigger listens continuously.
My setup:
n8n version: 2.1.5
Workflow type: MQTT Trigger → AI Agent → Email + Google Sheets
The workflow is saved
Could you please tell me where the activation button is located in this version?

Hey Mateo! Since version 2, n8n is not using the Activate option anymore.
It’s now called Publish. It’s a slightly different mechanism, so you can read more about it here.
