Switch with more than 4 outputs now available

Hi all,

I just published a new switch node as a community package.
Switch9000

With this new node you can easily add more than 4 output to a switch node. It does need one sender and multiple receivers to filter routes, but the functionality is exactly the same as the normal switch node.

Elegant except that it visits all the receiver nodes, which is not efficient.

The original Switch node only goes to the branch where it needs to go.

Thanks for the effort.

Hi,

Yes that is by design.
Let me know what you purpose to fix that. I will modify if possible.

Thanks for your quick response. Perhaps it can just be a giant Switch node with x outputs where x is a parameter you choose in the node setting.

That doesnt work in n8n I think.

which node are you using to filter more than 4,

It is a community node build by the OP of the post. It is available as an npm package here. You can read more about community nodes on the n8n community nodes page

Can one install community nodes package when on n8n Cloud? Cannot see the option to install a package in the settings for my instance.

Hey @MartechNomad,

Cloud doesn’t currently have support for community nodes but… you could try the new filter node which might help.
