The Read/Write Files from Disk Node doesn't show anything

Hello, please help me. I’m trying to read a PDF file with the Read/Write from disk node, but the message appears in the input and output of my node: No fields - item(s) exist, but they’re empty.

I have exactly the same issue, it only works in test mode. I don’t know why, because it works perfectly in test mode, but in production, n8n doesn’t work, do you you have any update ?

I have the same issue since updating N8N to latest version, on linux. permissions seemed ok but were not at the root path level. you may want to check that ownership of the volumes of n8n on host is the same as the user you are running n8n with.
