Trouble connecting with IMAP + Microsoft365 (business)

Hi all,

I’m having trouble connecting the IMAP credentials with a business Microsoft365 account. The error simply reads:

"LOGIN failed"

Information on your n8n setup

  • n8n version: 1.33.1
  • Database (default: SQLite): default
  • n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main): dafault
  • Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app): Docker self-hosted
  • Operating system: Debian

Hey @kimowasabiii,

The error message you are seeing is coming back from Microsoft, They are moving away from IMAP support so you may need to use a different approach like the Outlook trigger node we have instead.
