Hey everyone,
We’re piloting a new feature on the forum: AI-powered translation. The idea is to make the community more accessible to people who aren’t comfortable reading or writing in English, and we’d love your help testing it.
Just to set expectations: this is forum-only for now. n8n itself and our support team are still English-only, this pilot is purely about making community conversations more accessible.
What we’ve turned on
We’ve enabled it for the following languages:
Brazilian Portuguese
Chinese
French
German
Spanish
It’s active in three categories:
- Questions
- Help me build my workflow
- Announcements
For this pilot, we’ve translated posts from the last 14 days in those categories, and any new posts will be translated automatically going forward. If we decide to keep the feature, we’ll expand the scope significantly.
How it works
You can switch the forum’s language using the dropdown at the top right of the page:
If your browser is set to one of the supported languages by default, the forum should already pick that up automatically.
The cool part: conversations can happen across languages. Whatever language you write in, your post gets automatically translated into all the languages we’ve enabled. So if a Portuguese speaker writes a reply, English, Chinese, French, German, and Spanish readers all see it in their own language, and vice versa.
Try it right now: reply to this topic in literally any language, Japanese, Arabic, Dutch, whatever you prefer, and you’ll see it appear in English (and our other pilot languages) for everyone else. You don’t need to know any specific language to participate, just write in what feels natural.
How’s it working for you?
A quick rating, if you’ve had a chance to try it:
Not useful
It’s okay
Pretty good
Really useful
We’d also love to hear
This is a pilot, so we’re genuinely figuring out whether it’s worth keeping and expanding. A few things we’d love your input on in the replies:
- Is the translation quality good enough to be useful?
- Does anything feel weird or broken in the UX?
- Which other languages should we prioritise? We can support up to 10 languages, and translation isn’t free, so we’ll need to be selective. Drop a comment if there’s a language you’d love to see added.
