On Monday the 9th of December we had our very first n8n Meetup in Vienna.
As it‘s almost traditional in Vienna that good events attract bad weather, it was cold, rainy and of course windy.
It didn’t keep us back however from enjoying a few drinks with burgers while talking about n8n and automations.
Nine people on RSVP but only 4 showed up, funny enough someone signed up for the meetup just one minute before it ended.
Presentation
For this first event there where no presentations prepared or any talks. It was planed as a casual meetup, see what topics arise and gather inputs for next meetups.
Discussion Topics
The main discussion topics where on the general possibilities where n8n can be used, also how it compares to zapier since this is being used by one participant in the company.
For this there where some short demos of how simple it was to process some data in a vector database and create a ChatGPT Chatbot to ask questions about that data and everything being done without code.
Summary
I wished more people would have shown up, sorry that some couldn‘t make it. But given the cold weather on a Monday, in December when everything is going crazy about Christmas shopping (which I haven‘t yet automated with n8n) it‘s understandable.
Starting already to plan something for next year, this time with workflow demos and maybe a some talks, definitely not on a Monday and will have to announce it earlier. Was still a good first meetup.
