Web scraping for n8n agents: time limits, injection flags and source hashes

We built Armored and Wolfpack at CreatorFusion for workflows that fetch web content before sending it to an AI agent or RAG pipeline.

Armored adds HTTP slow-stream limits, repetitive crawl-branch detection, invisible-character cleanup and quarantine for recognized prompt-injection patterns. Wolfpack adds Super Stealth retrieval and JavaScript rendering.

The n8n starters below use a manual trigger and an HTTP Request node. Select your own Apify Header Auth credential, change the URL and run. Before indexing results, check status == OK and nonempty sanitizedContent; retain the source URL, hash and securityTelemetry. Detection is heuristic and returned content remains untrusted.

Armored costs $0.005 per delivered page. Wolfpack costs $0.01 for HTTP, $0.03 for browser or $0.09 for residential retrieval. Failed and quarantined pages have no page charge; small startup fees apply.

Try one troublesome public URL first. Share the run ID and expected result if you’d like help interpreting the output.

Copy either complete JSON block and paste it into a blank n8n canvas. In the HTTP Request node, select an Apify Header Auth credential with header name Authorization and value Bearer YOUR_APIFY_TOKEN. Keep your token in the credential, not in the workflow JSON. Each starter requests one page and caps the run charge at $0.25.
