Why is PRO plan not available for self-hosting?

Why is the pro plan not available for self-hosting?

I am aware that it is currently not possible to self-host the pro plan of n8n. My question is why?

It is currently very frustrating for our company. We love n8n and have been using it a lot. But due to compliance and governance reasons we have to stick to self hosting (plus some additional benefits such as creating our own nodes). But the only options for self hosting currently are Community (free), Business and Enterprise. I tried contacting the salesteam multiple times, but each time I get (what feels like AI generated) a response saying that the Business plan is perfect for us. Even though I explained that the functions Business offers are not necessary in that capacity. And 650 euro’s a month is an insane jump from 50.

Is there a plan to make pro available for self-hosting? Could someone clarify why self hosting the pro plan is not possible?
