Why new Code node breaks my "old" simple Function Item node?

Hi,

i recently upgrade my n8n from 0.197.1 to 0.204.0 and it breaks all my function item nodes.
Even simple set variable are returned empty. Do I need to change all my function nodes to code nodes ?

Hey @skalg,

The workflow doesn’t appear to contain all the nodes, By adding another set node to mimic the other node you are calling it runs successfully so I am not sure what the actual issue is you are seeing.

Can you share a more complete workflow that reproduces the issue you are seeing? My initial thought is this could be related to a change that wasn’t directly related to the code node, There is a feature request somewhere to bring back support for overwriting a nodes value from another node.
