How can I update the chat output back to the user in the chat window when each tool has ran and info from the tool?

I want a bunch of custom tools to run in a sequence and I want to update the chat window with a status message so the user sees something is happening.

  • n8n version: 1.38.2
  • Database (default: SQLite): SQL Lite
  • n8n EXECUTIONS_PROCESS setting (default: own, main): default
  • Running n8n via (Docker, npm, n8n cloud, desktop app): npm
  • Operating system: windows 11 Home

Thanks for posting here and welcome to the community! :cake:

Unfortunately, we currently do not support streaming of individual tool executions.
The user must wait for the full agent execution to see the output/intermediate steps.
