Cannot create credential for Wordpress

I’ve been trying to create Wordpress API credential to post on my new blog. I am on free plan on Wordpress. But it couldn’t connect and the error message is “Couldn’t connect with these settings. Not Found”.

I’ve already use Application password for the password.

have you some security plugins on the wordpress site?

currently I don’t have any plugins

Use the original account password

I think we are supposed to use the application password though, not the password for login

try it, because I lost a lot of time because of it

I tried using the login password but it is still the same error

I noticed that if you are using the free package, it may not work

So in order to create the wordpress credential, I must upgrade my wordpress plan?

I decided to purchase a domain and buy a hosting service. At first I ran into the same problem described above. But then site health check recommended upgrading PHP version. After upgrading PHP to the newest version, I could finally create wordpress credential.
