Hello,
As there’s some GPTs helping to edit nodes, and to correct on the fly some of them, I suggest a new option in the contextual menu “Edit JSON” where you could just update the current node without having to edit it.
I’m not sure how actually the n8n API works, but this would also facilitate the creation dynamic workflows with llms , as you could have store designed nodes or parts of workflows, then use them as tools ? (not sure if it’s super clear, sorry 
)
I agree that it would be super useful to have direct access to the JSON that defines the workflow and its nodes, and to be able to edit it without having to first download the JSON of the workflow, then edit it, and then upload it again.
Or maybe this function already exists?
