I have a self hosted n8n (1.53.2) on AWS ECS with a domain.
Trying to add a gitlab, company hosted, step (trigger or any).
The connexion through credentials works.
I have filled the job based on this question from the forum.
still the error: GitLab Trigger: 404 Project Not Found
best regards,
Karim.

Hey @karim-soufi,
Welcome to the community
Is /DataCorp/devops/docker
the correct username for the owner of the repo? Normally they wouldn’t contain a /
is the path before the repository slag. I saw in the other post that what needs to be used as owner. I’ve also tested with my username and root.

Hey @karim-soufi,
While it is the path is it the username? Have you tried URL Encoding it and seeing if that helps?
I think the fields arent clear to me.
can you explain what’s expected ?
is the owner field, my username? or the path between the domain name of the hosted gitlab and the repo slag?
i am also seeing this, currently i am using the cloud trial. the connection test on auth (oauth2) tells me its passing

Hey @Glen_Dovey
Is that the correct name for your repo?
It may be worth trying to uri encode the name and see if that helps
it is not, it is a company project and i wanted to hide the identity. i have tried again with a encoded uri repo name and i got the same error

I will check the API to see what they expect for those cases
by trial and error, the owner is the path between the domain name and the repo slag. it should be encoded as Jon said.
can the documentation be updated to reflect this please ?
thanks Jon.
