How to Update Cloud Version of n8n?

How to update our n8n Cloud instance – "Manage" button missing

Hi,

We're using n8n Cloud-version and are seeing different available update versions for our instance. We would like to update, but the documentation steps don’t match what we see:

According to the docs:

  1. Log in to the n8n Cloud dashboard
  2. On your dashboard, select Manage
  3. Use the n8n version dropdown to select your preferred release version:
    • Latest Stable: recommended for most users
    • Latest Beta: newest features, possibly unstable
  4. Select Save Changes to restart and update
  5. In the confirmation modal, select Confirm

However:

  • When logged into our dashboard, there is no "Manage" button visible.
  • If we try to open the URL with our subdomain (for example):
    https://xyz.app.n8n.cloud/manage
    we get a "Page not found" error.
  • If we open the link from the docs:
    https://app.n8n.cloud/manage
    it redirects to the login screen.

Question: How can we actually update our n8n Cloud instance if the "Manage" option is missing? Are there new steps for the latest Cloud interface, or is this feature only available for certain subscription tiers?

Hi @Dev_flyacts if the manage button is missing in your n8n cloud dashboard, this could be because your subscription tier doesn’t allow manual update. Check your subscription tier, for pro subs you should see the manage option.

I found the dashboard — it’s located under “Admin Panel”, and from there the description in the docs matches what I see.

The direct link in the documentation didn’t work for me, so maybe it should be updated to point users to access it via the Admin Panel instead.
