I just discovered the world of AI agents (better late than never, right? ). I have no background in digital or tech, but I really want to start learning how to set up AI agents. The problem is… I feel like a chicken with a knife .
n8n doesn’t seem too complicated compared to all the tools out there, but—just like the knife for the chicken—I feel like I might waste a lot of time just trying to figure out how to use it properly.
So here’s my question:
If you were starting from scratch like me, with no technical background, what would you focus on first?
What skills or knowledge should I develop first to be able to build simple AI assistants?
The goal is to be able to create a few case studies and learn by doing .
What do you think?
I would recommend you start learning the platform first.
So do the n8n courses that are avaialble in the docs. After that you could start following some tutorials.
Thanks a lot for the advice!
I did find the documentation here: https://docs.n8n.io/ and I’m going to follow those courses as you suggested.
Once I’ve wrapped my head around all that, I was wondering — in your opinion, what are the key skills that will really help me build functional AI agents?
Are there any specific areas I should start learning in parallel while going through the n8n tutorials?
