Question: How to Insert a Clear Chat Button in the Existing n8n Chat Embed

Hi n8n Community,

I’m currently using the n8n chat embed provided via CDN for integrating a chat interface on my website. While the chat embed works great, I have noticed that it lacks a “Clear Chat” button, which would be a useful feature for users to reset the chat history without refreshing the page.

Issue:
There is no built-in option or feature in the current n8n chat embed to include a “Clear Chat” button.

Desired Solution:
I would like to know if there is any way to add a “Clear Chat” button to the existing n8n chat embed. Ideally, this button should be able to clear the current chat history when clicked.

Has anyone faced a similar issue or found a way to implement such a feature? Any insights, code snippets, or alternative solutions would be greatly appreciated!
