Hey everyone, I’m experiencing ‘JavaScript out of memory’ errors while running AI agents and LangChain code on Render’s starter plan. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Would upgrading to the standard plan resolve it, or would cloud computing be a better solution? Any tips on optimizing memory usage would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Honestly @Rehare render’s starter plan is pretty underwhelming. For $7, you get half the memory of an E2 instance, which you’d get for free from Google, AWS, or Oracle. Consider spinning up your n8n instance on one of those platforms or using a VPS with Coolify for just €3/month. With that price, you can get a 4GB RAM machine or even an 8GB RAM server for the same cost as Render. That way, you can host multiple n8n instances or other projects without breaking a sweat.
Hope this helps
Thanks for the info! I’m new to local hosting and really appreciate the guidance. Are there any YouTube tutorials or step by step guides that can walk me through the process? I’d love to get started on my own with some clear instructions.
Thanks once again
For installing n8n on Google Cloud’s free tier with Docker, check out this video https://youtu.be/NNTbwOCPUww?si=1LMKd7Ch7CCOxqKa
If you need a more powerful server, consider installing n8n on VPS with Coolify. Many cloud providers, like Hetzner, offer Coolify images during setup, so you can get started quickly. With Coolify, installing n8n is just a couple of clicks away.
