:bullseye: Project Overview

I am looking for an experienced n8n developer to build a robust Telegram Bot for business automation. The infrastructure (n8n on Hetzner) is ready.

The goal is to process unstructured data (Voice, Text, Images) into structured formats (PDFs, Database entries) with a strong Human-in-the-Loop verification process.

:hammer_and_wrench: Tech Stack

  • n8n (Self-hosted)

  • Telegram Bot API (Inline Keyboards, Callbacks)

  • OpenAI (Whisper, GPT-4o, Vision)

  • Google Sheets (as Database)

  • APITemplate.io (PDF Generation)

:gear: The Challenge (Abstract Scope)

We need to implement 3 main workflows. I will provide the detailed logic and specific API keys privately after signing an NDA (or upon hiring).

1. Intelligent Document Creation

  • Input: Unstructured voice messages or photos of handwritten notes.

  • Task: Extract data via LLM, look up parameters in Google Sheets, perform calculations.

  • UX: Present a summary to the user via Telegram. The user must be able to confirm or edit values via buttons before a PDF is generated.

2. Location-Based Data Logging

  • Input: Photo + GPS Location.

  • Task: Use location data to match specific database entries (logic involving distance calculation).

  • AI: Analyze the image content and generate a description text.

  • Output: Save structured log to Google Sheets.

3. Retrieval & Status Updates

  • Task: Search database based on fuzzy user input.

  • Logic: Handle multiple search results (User selection via menus) vs. single matches.

  • Action: Update statuses and trigger document generation based on predefined templates.

  • State Management: The bot needs to handle multi-step conversations (e.g., Q&A flows for missing data).

  • Error Handling: Robust fallback mechanisms if APIs are slow.

  • UX: Clean usage of Telegram Inline Buttons (editing messages instead of spamming new ones).

    → Yes, my German is on native-speaker level. I completed my studies in Germany and live here since +15 years.

  2. Your experience with n8n & Telegram.
    I have experience building my own Telegram bot, which notifies me of available appointsments daily, using a scheduled chronjob hosted with github-actions. In the past I have worked for automatisations using the WhatsApp business API also. I have about 2months of experience working with n8n now. Not so long ago I sold my first commercial workflow to a client which needed an automatized client outreach solution on LinkedIn for the automobile industry. My work is complemented through software projects I have been involved in, these involve: data engineering & ETL pipelines (SQL) and diverse python projects and also a backend project in Java Springboot.

  3. Your hourly rate or estimated availability.
    → I’m available immediately, until approx. 15 of January. The workflow will be finished in the duration of max. 2 days.

Klingt nach einem sehr interessanten Anwendungsfall für n8n. Bin derzeit verfügbar und würde mich gerne über eine Zusammenarbeit für dieses Projekt unterhalten.

Über mich: Ich bin Absolvent der Universität Innsbruck (Bsc. Informatik), bringe ca. 1,5 Jahre professionelle Full-Stack Entwicklungserfahrung mit und arbeite seit Herbst für ein Startup als Generativer KI Entwickler (hauptächlich genau solche Anwendungsfälle wie Chatbots mit n8n - viel z.B für Autohäuser). Habe auch selber an einem RAG-Framework der Uni mitentwickelt, das Paper wird jetzt auf einer ACL Konferenz veröffentlicht. Ich traue mich zu behaupten Erfahrung in diesem Bereich mitzubringen und ich lege meinen Fokus in n8n stark auf robuste, standardisierte und skalierbare Workflows. Das ist mir sehr wichtig zu betonen.

  2. mit n8n 4 Monate professionelle Erfahrung mit Chatbots und Voice Agents - hauptsächlich Custom aber Telegram Bots kein Problem
  3. Hourly Rate: 50€/h - dafür verantwortungsvolle bewusste und effiziente Arbeit, diesen Anwendungsfall kann ich in unter einer Woche (2-3 Tage) professionell lösen. Bin ab sofort verfügbar, könnte sofort am Montag starten. Können uns auch nach Besprechung einen fixen Preis ausmachen.
