Users wishing to utilize Pulse for n8n mobile app should be informed up front that the app is for paid users only. A bit of text on the mobile app first page for URL/API entry would do it: “For paid subscriptions.”
Currently the user must Google that they should search in the web app for Settings, find that Pulse API should appear there, and it doesn’t. After some effort stumble across this discussion about how it’s for paid customers only: Can't find n8n API in Settings - #5 by netroy
It makes sense that this feature is for paid customers but that’s a lot of hassle to undergo to find out. Additionally:
there is zero mention of this in n8n Help. Should go there too.
Why isn’t this touted as a feature in the subscription pricing levels?
I want to make it clear that this is a side project of mine, and not affiliated with n8n in any way. I’ve been developing it mostly as a tool for myself. I was planning to do a community post about it later this week.
I’ll touch up the app store page to make extra clear that this app isn’t affiliated with n8n. I don’t want any confusion there. I’ll also add some details about what types of n8n accounts give you API access.
You do not need to pay for any tier of n8n to use the app. If you want a hosted version, you do, but a self-hosted n8n instance supports API access without any paid plan.
Thanks for pointing this out. Sorry for any confusion!
I see!! It’s an awesome side project. Dashboards are going to make or break agent orchestrators is my take and if it ain’t got a mobile app it ain’t got a dashboard… I can see that it needs to be self-hosted to take advantage of an unpaid subscription.
I vote for this to be promoted from a side project… lol Thanks, Curtis!
