Hey n8n team,
I’ve been getting some DMs about my templates and it got me thinking - maybe there’s a better way to handle template questions?
Maybe I’m missing something obvious here, but would it make sense to have a Templates section in the forum where:
-
When a template gets approved, a discussion thread is automatically created for it
-
Only the system can create new posts (locked to manual creation)
-
The discussion gets embedded (or at least obviously linked) on the actual template page on n8n.io (see here)
Why I think this might help (but correct me if I’m wrong):
-
Template questions would be public and searchable instead of buried in DMs
-
Other users could help answer common questions
-
For SEO :
- Good - content, more keywords
- Awesome - if discussions are embedded on the template too, augmenting time spent on your main site would really improve SEO (by experience)
-
When someone figures out a modification or workaround, that knowledge just gets lost in private messages.
I myself have questions on other templates that aren’t really worth a DM but would be perfect for a public discussion (asking for an example of the output on a video creation workflow, etc.).
Not sure if this is technically feasible or if there’s already a better solution I’m not aware of?
Cheers,
Joachim
