This is about the node UI itself.
The idea is:
We need to use code at the {{json.…}} etc. part. These should be interpreted in the nodes UI also as input/output points, instead of a code line. It would make everything obvious, and wouldn’t force us to know what exactly we should enter there because it’s all visual.
Much better flexibility, much more obvious customization.
As you can see on this screenshot, there’s no need at all to enter any code snippet into anywhere, though under the hood, this is the same node system.
