The idea is:
I know that n8n can now easily connect MCP as a tool in the Agent node. But what I am imagining is whether MCP can be used as a standard node in non-AI n8n workflows.
In a way, MCP is a middleware that encapsulates a third-party API and tells LLM how to use this API.
Does this mean that n8n can launch a conversion tool in a future version that can convert any MCP into a standard n8n node?
This will greatly extend the number of n8n integrations and will be backed by the active MCP community.
Since the launch of MCP and A2A, many large Internet companies have taken the initiative to launch MCP based on their own services. This means that if this feature is implemented, n8n official developers will save a lot of development time for making official integration nodes.
