Add Buffer Node

Problem
n8n has no Buffer node. Buffer connects many social platforms in one account, so one node would let workflows schedule and publish posts (including video, where Buffer supports it) across many platforms.

Proposed solution
A Buffer node with OAuth2 login that can:

  • Get connected channels
  • Create a post (text, media, schedule time)
  • Get pending and sent posts
  • Delete a post

Why not the HTTP Request node?
A dedicated node makes OAuth2 setup and media upload much easier.

There is already an official community node for this: @bufferapp/n8n-nodes-buffer (Buffer’s own package, creates and manages posts and ideas), and a third-party n8n-nodes-buffer also exists on npm. Install it via Settings > Community nodes > Install on self-hosted n8n (on Cloud the instance owner has to enable community nodes first), and you get the OAuth2 flow plus media handling the HTTP Request node makes you build yourself.

If one of those packages is missing a specific operation you need - video posts are the usual gap - the HTTP Request node against Buffer’s API with a generic OAuth2 credential is the fallback. Same account, just the setup the node exists to save you. Worth filing an issue on the node’s repo first; that lands faster than writing your own.
