Can not login on my localhost , new password request is not working need to contact N8N Admin

Question: I set up a local host, I was logged in and logged out, and I tried to log in again with my email and password. I tried to generate a new password through my email, and that is not possible. Can the admin help me, or can somebody else let me know how I can restore this?

If you are running self-hosted version, the admin is you.

If you don’t remember your password and need to reset it, you can use CLI:

Specifically, under User Management:

n8n user-management:reset

thanx for the input . I know I´m the admin bus the info I had put in doesn´t work and I have no idea where I can change it in the Container of N8N

Are you running n8n in docker or with npm?

docker , but I just deleted everything and install it again from the start . now it is running and working again. Thanx for your help highly apriciated
