Edit pdf using edit image node with the cloud hosting version

Hello,

I hope you are all doing well.

I need to add a text on a pdf file, thought I could use the edit image node to do so.
But I have an error:

I am using the cloud hosting version.

Thank you

@oswald_bernard I don’t believe the Edit Image node supports PDF manipulation in current version. However, the underlying library the node uses may support PDF format. @MutedJam when you can, could you check the lib that Edit Image node uses (not sure if it’s still GraphicsMagick). If it does support it, this can be changed to a feature request.

Looks like we’re using this guy which appears to be a wrapper for GraphicsMagick and ImageMagick. So @maxT is spot on and it seems to me that PDF editing should technically be doable.

I’ve converted your request to a feature request, so you and other users can vote on it @oswald_bernard.

I think it works if instead of the alpine-based image the debian-based one gets used.

So instead of n8nio/n8n:0.173.1n8nio/n8n:0.173.1-debian
