too little time to master the whole thing enough to earn money with it and also to want to pay for it. then i’ll probably have to leave. maybe i’ll get enough time to learn somewhere else before it costs money

The community version of n8n is completely free—it’s amazing, powerful, and works just as well as the cloud version when self-hosted on your machine
The n8n cloud isn’t free because server rental, maintenance, and support incur costs, which makes sense.
In fact, you can do all sorts of things with the community version; it even currently has more features than the cloud version, like community nodes like MCP and others!
