I keep hearing about n8n.editorBaseURL and n8n.apiBaseURL, what are they about

They define how the editor (the UI) and API talk to each other . it’s super important if you’re running behind a reverse proxy or a custom domain. If they’re misconfiguration, you’ll see webhook or UI connection issues
