Is n8n self-hosted (local) pricing the same as the website pricing? Any limits on running a single workflow continuously on Free vs Pro?

Hi everyone,
I installed n8n locally (self-hosted) and I’m automating a few processes. I’m using the Free version on my local setup.

  1. Is the pricing/licensing for self-hosted/local usage the same as what’s shown on the website “Pricing” page?

  2. Is there any limitation on the Free version vs Pro regarding running one workflow continuously / unlimited executions? For example, does Free have a cap or restriction if I want to run a single workflow 24/7?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Uluc_Atalay Welcome!
If you are considering enterprise level self hosted instance the license would be expensive and not the same price as you see on pricings.

On self hosted you can run unlimited workflows without any restrictions basically there the only restriction is your hardware and tunnels and you can even run workflows 24/7 but on cloud this is very restricted to the plan you are choosing.

see this:

On self hosted you get these:

Although i use both and there is no much difference but consider using self hosted if you know how to do it and you are experienced, else just go with the basic plan cloud and then upgrade until you feel the limit.

The pricing page is for cloud, self-hosted community edition is free with no execution limits at all. You can run workflows 24/7, the only bottleneck is your own hardware. Also worth registering your instance (it’s free, just an email) since it unlocks a few extras like workflow history and folders.
