n8n just released a powerful update that lets you use community nodes even if you’re hosted on n8n’s Cloud, which wasn’t possible before. These community nodes make it much easier to connect to different services without needing to set up complex HTTP requests or worry about authentication. Instead, you get a plug-and-play, no-code interface that saves a ton of time when building automations.
In this video, I walk you through how to set up community nodes whether you’re on n8n Cloud, self-hosted, or running it locally. By the end, you’ll know exactly how to start using community nodes to build faster, integrate easier, and save hours in your workflow.
I can’t see the community nodes anymore I haven’t installed yet in the search results? Does anyone else have this problem? Settings are still correct and I’m on the last stable version (cloud version)
If you watch the video at 1:50 and at 6:27, you can see there is a difference for installing community nodes in the online and self-hosted N8N version.
My main question to @bartv would be, why is there a difference and are we unable to install unconfirmed community nodes from within the online version?
Im running cloud version 1.110.1 which says its the latest stable version. But when i go into community nodes, i have no options to install any nodes. There is no button(s). Do i need to change something else?
