No way to add community nodes

There is no way to add community nodes in the cloud version of n8n. There is no install button on the community nodes page within settings, and the community nodes cannot be found by searching within the workspace.

I am aware that only verified nodes can be used in the cloud version of n8n, per the documentation. The node I was originally searching for (Retell) is allegedly verified. While troubleshooting, I found this list of top community nodes: GitHub - restyler/awesome-n8n: Useful n8n resources: list of community nodes and tutorials . I am assuming at least some of these are verified nodes (there doesn’t seem to be a list of only verified nodes) and I cannot find any of these nodes by searching in the workspace, so I believe community node installation is truly broken for cloud environments.

Please assist, we are on a paid plan.

The required settings is enabled and we are running a high enough version (documentation says it requires 1.94.0+

I’ve finally found a node that appears to be a community node - PDForge - that I can install from the workspace. Is the issue just that Retell isn’t actually verified (and if so, is there any list out there or way to look up which ones are verified)?

Hey @esch hope all is good. Welcome to the community.

I believe the closest you can get to getting the list of verified nodes is here:

https://n8n.io/integrations/?partnerBuiltOnly

I appreciate you taking the time to respond! Weirdly, I don’t see Retell here at all (even after unchecking “Partner Built”). Retell has documentation about adding the node (see Connect AI call agent to n8n) and I do see their node on NPM (https://www.npmjs.com/package/@retellai/n8n-nodes-retellai?activeTab=code) - so it must exist?

This means that they do have a node, but it is a regular community node, not a verified one. Regular (unverified) community nodes can only be installed in self-hosted envorinment.
